Dubrovnik, Croatia

Today was our last day full day on the cruise and our visit to Dubrovnik, Croatia. What a lovely town tucked away along the seacoast. It was very small, with huge walls and cement edifices that were both quaint and impressive. We were able to walk around, take photos and purchase some goodies within a couple of hours. The fun part was that we could not dock directly at the port but instead needed to board the lifeboats and travel to land. These are quite a bit nicer than the ones on the Titanic, although some guests handled the choppy waters better than others. Now that our cruise adventure is over, I can admit that the theme song (No not “My Heart Will Go On,” it was the instrumental one) from the film went through my head every time we boarded from visiting a new city. I couldn’t help it! We returned back to the ship early enough to enjoy final sunbathing before dinner and the final show. We were sad to bid farewell to our Samsara staff who took exceptional care of us at dinner. Unbelievable that this leg of the trip is coming to an end.
